Set the name of the new value to “ContentDir” (without the quotes). Then, right-click on the “Battery 4 Factory Library” folder, and choose New–> String Value. All you have to do is open up regedit and navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Battery 4 Factory Library”. However, there is a solution, at least on Windows. When you open the preferences screen, this is all you’ll see: Native Instruments’ directions for changing the library location won’t work. Spoiler Alert: If you finish the installation in this manner, you will not be able to specify the library location directly inside Battery. And let’s say you tell the installer not to install Battery’s factory library, because you already have it on a separate hard drive from a prior installation. So let’s say you’re doing a clean installation of Native Instruments Battery or Komplete.
